Paper craft inspiration for this project

This paper hanging is more about composition than complicated technique. Repeat a few circle sizes in a palette that works with your room. Keep the finished piece light and hang it flat against a wall rather than above a busy space.

Images are styled inspiration, not step-by-step documentation. Your finished piece may look different.

ONE STEP AT A TIME

Let’s make it.

01

Cut a set of circles

Print the template at 100% scale and trace the circles onto your chosen papers. Cut a mix of sizes. Make enough for three short strands, then arrange them on a flat surface before attaching anything.

02

Plan the three strands

Place the craft stick above your paper arrangement. Choose a slightly longer center strand or an offset arrangement. Leave space between circles so the background wall becomes part of the pattern.

03

Attach the thread

Cut a length of cotton thread for each strand. Tape the thread to the back of each paper shape with small pieces of craft tape. Check that the tape is hidden from the front and that the shapes lie flat.

04

Secure the top

Tie the strands to the craft stick with firm knots. Add a separate short loop for hanging. Lift the piece carefully to check the balance and adjust the spacing before tightening the knots.

05

Find a quiet wall

Hang on a secure hook away from moisture, heat, and direct airflow. Keep it out of reach of children and pets. This is decorative paper art, not a toy or a nursery mobile.

A LITTLE HELPFUL KNOW-HOW

Use fewer circles than you think you need. Empty space helps the shapes feel intentional.

Enjoy it. Take care of it.

Keep away from flames, heaters, and damp areas. Handle by the top stick rather than pulling the paper strands.
